The AirMaestro WLAN Management Console for Windows® enables centralized monitoring and management of an AirMaestro WLAN via an intuitive graphical user-interface. The WLAN Management Console simplifies Wi-Fi® management and setup enabling easy deployment and administration of AirMaestro Virtual Controller APs. From one PC on the network, make global settings changes, change wireless encryption settings, or deploy additional wireless services (SSIDs) across multiple AirMaestro APs. Remote management provides the ability to centrally monitor and manage AP clusters located anywhere in the world.

The WLAN Management Console’s network map gives a detailed visual representation of the AP network, the channels each AP is using, and which devices are associated to the APs. The network map uses a color coded system to help the viewer quickly identify APs, operating channels, and client devices. It’s also completely dynamic, instantaneously showing changes in the wireless network. The network map is user customizable, allowing it to be used for reporting and diagnosis of WLAN behavior.

The WLAN Management Console also identifies any interferring APs and classifies unauthorized APs on your wired network as rogue APs. Rogue AP mitigation may be quickly enabled on all AirMaestro APs in cluster to automatically close security breaches caused by unsecured and unauthorized APs on your network

The spectrum analyzer tool allows the user to remotely access the built-in dual-band spectrum analyzer within a specific Virtual Controller AP. This provides real-time and remote surveying of the RF enviornment around that specific AP. The spectrum analyzer tool quickly detects and classifies common, non-802.11 interference sources: cordless phones and microwave ovens.
